Add Resources to a Procedure or Step

A Resource is an explanatory reference connected to a Procedure or Step. Its Guide shows the Resource on every Assignment or Task made from it. Portfolio Administrators and Leads may add Resources. For more about Resources, see Resources Overview.

  1. Select the Procedure, or one of its Steps.
  2. Press the Guide tab in the detail pane. The buttons for adding Resources are at the bottom.

Add a Linked Resource

A Linked Resource is a web page, with a title and an optional description.

  1. Press Link….
  2. In the Link Resource dialog, enter the page's address in Link. When you leave the field, TaskTrain fills in the Title and Description from the page, if it can read it.
  3. Edit the Title or Description if needed, and press Save.

Add an Attached Resource

An Attached Resource is an uploaded file: an image, a video or audio recording, a PDF, or an office document.

  1. Press Attach….
  2. In the Attach Resource dialog, press Select… to choose files, or drag files onto the dialog.
  3. Rename a file if needed, and press Attach.

Add an Embedded Resource

An Embedded Resource is formatted text written in TaskTrain, such as reusable instructions.

  1. Press Embed….
  2. In the Embed Resource dialog, enter a title, then write the text with the Rich Text Editor.
  3. Press Save, or Discard to close without adding it.

Add a Google Drive Resource

  1. Press Drive…. The first time, Google asks you to sign in and allow TaskTrain to open your Drive files.
  2. Choose the file in the Google Drive picker.
