Integrate with Zapier

Overview: Premium subscribers may integrate TaskTrain with 3,000+ applications using Zapier.
Updated 2 days ago

Zapier connects TaskTrain with thousands of other apps without any coding. A Zap takes new information from one app, its trigger, and uses it to do something in other apps, its actions. Zapier integration is available to Organizations on a Paid Plan.

What TaskTrain can do in Zapier

  • Trigger: Assignment Created. Starts a Zap when an Assignment is created in an Organization you choose. Choose the Trigger Type: Assigned To Me or Requested By Me. The Zap receives the Assignment's name, description, priority, status, start date, and due date.
  • Action: Create an Assignment. Assigns a Procedure when something happens in another app, such as a form submission or a new support ticket. Choose the Organization, Portfolio, and Procedure, then fill in:
    • Assignment Name and Description.
    • Assign: To Me, From Portfolio Members (then choose the Assignee), or By E-mail Address (then enter the Assignee E-mail Address). The Assignee must be a member of the Portfolio.
    • Priority, Date Start, and Date Due (optional).

Connect TaskTrain to Zapier

  1. Sign in to your Zapier account, or create one.
  2. Create a Zap, and search for TaskTrain when choosing the app for its trigger or an action.
  3. When Zapier asks you to connect an account, sign in to TaskTrain if prompted. On the Authorize Zapier? screen, tick each Organization Zapier may act in, then press Authorize. Only Organizations on a Paid Plan are offered. Zapier lists the connection under your TaskTrain e-mail address.

Zapier acts as you: it can see and create only what your TaskTrain Account can, and only in the Organizations you ticked. What it does is recorded as yours, with its name: an Assignment a Zap starts reads "started by Zapier", and its changes read, for example, "Diego Ferreira via Zapier".

To disconnect Zapier, press your name at the top of the Navigation pane, choose Authorized Clients, and revoke it. See Connect Claude or ChatGPT.
