Claude, ChatGPT and other MCP clients can work in TaskTrain for you. They find Procedures, start Assignments, and work your tasks. A Client acts as you, with your access, and only in the Organizations you choose. Each of those Organizations needs a Paid Plan.
Before you start
- You need a TaskTrain sign-in.
- You need an Organization on a Paid Plan. A Client cannot act in an Organization on the free plan. See Update an Organization's Billing Information.
Connect Claude
- In Claude, open Settings > Connectors, and press Add custom connector.
- Enter the name
TaskTrainand the URLhttps://terminal.tasktrain.app/mcp. - Press Add, then Connect. Claude opens TaskTrain in your browser.
- Sign in to TaskTrain if it asks, and authorize Claude, as described below.
In Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http tasktrain https://terminal.tasktrain.app/mcp. Then run /mcp and choose Authenticate.
Connect ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT's settings, add a custom connector.
- Enter the URL
https://terminal.tasktrain.app/mcp, and choose OAuth for authentication. - Connect. ChatGPT opens TaskTrain in your browser. Sign in if it asks, and authorize ChatGPT.
Authorize a Client
TaskTrain's Authorize screen shows:
- the Client's name, and the website it proved it belongs to;
- what it asks to do, in plain words;
- your Organizations on a Paid Plan.
- Tick each Organization the Client may act in. It cannot act in any other. If only one is offered, it is ticked already. If none is on a Paid Plan, the screen says so instead.
- Press Authorize. To refuse, press Deny.
What a Client can do
- Find Procedures, and read them, also as SOPs.
- Start Assignments, with their Fields and their Roles.
- See your Assignments and your tasks, with what each task waits on.
- Capture Field values, except File Fields; comment; and start, hold, complete, skip, or submit your tasks.
When a task can't move until a Required Field has a value, a Client that supports forms asks you for the value, then tries again.
A Client cannot approve, return, or reject a task. Sign in to TaskTrain to do that. See Approve, Return, or Reject a Task.
What a Client does is recorded as yours, with the Client's name. The Activity tab and comments read, for example, "Riley Brooks via Claude Code".
See or revoke a Client
- Press your name at the top of the Navigation pane, and choose Authorized Clients.
- Find the Client, and press Revoke. Confirm with Revoke. The Client stops at once. To use it again, connect it again.
TaskTrain also stops your Clients for you:
- When you reset a forgotten password from the e-mailed link, every Client is revoked. Changing your password in My Profile doesn't revoke them.
- When you leave an Organization, or it is deleted, your Clients cannot act in it anymore. A Client left with no Organization shows "No Organization".
- When an Organization's payment fails, Clients cannot act in it until it is paid. You do not need to connect them again.
